HIV Prevention Resources for key populations

In 2015 EHPSA commissioned Nordic Consulting Group to investigate trends in resources allocated to HIV prevention for key populations in the six countries of Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania and Zambia.

The 2016 baseline report found that it is not possible to accurately track planned or actual spending based on publicly available information. The final report in 2018 used interviews and unpublished data to come to some broad general conclusions around spending for key populations. One key finding was that although HIV spending is in decline, key populations in the six study countries are receiving increasing attention from donors and national governments.
